Hi, this is Rie. I am a Japanese lawyer working in Tokyo. I am also admitted to practice at the NY bar.
My main areas of practice are criminal defense, labor and employment, and dispute resolution. I provide Japanese legal service in both Japanese and English, regarding the above areas of practice.
As my pro bono work, I am interested in working for the reformation of the criminal justice system, which is often criticized for its unfairness and disregard for the rights of defendants. As a result, I am currently working on the case of a convict on death row who has been wrongfully convicted based on junk science.
